I use behavioural insights to improve diversity, health and financial wellbeing.
Understand.
Behaviour change starts with understanding why and how people choose. How much attention are people paying? Are they applying unhelpful heuristics? Are your previous design choices helping people to choose wisely? I will help you ask and answer the right questions.
Design.
Understanding how people make decisions enables you to design better products, services and policy. Adapted to real human beings. But this requires the ability to translate research into practice. I am at home in both worlds, and will happily be your guide and interpreter.
Evaluate.
Predicting behaviour is hard. Changing behaviour is even harder. This is why you should always evaluate the effectiveness of what you are doing. As thoroughly as your context allows you to. I won’t sell you silver bullets and snake oil, but I will help you find out what really works.
Strategize.
Many organizations realize that they could benefit from more in-house behavioural expertise. But where do you start? Figuring out the right organizational structure can be tricky. So can finding the right people. I will gladly share my lessons learned.
Teach.
Would you like a refresher on the latest developments in behavioural science? Do you need customized course materials? Or are you looking for an experienced teacher to get people excited about the potential of behavioural science? I can help!
Research.
I like behavioural science so much that I spend part of my time on academic research. It’s a great opportunity to nerd out, and to keep up with the literature and methodology (replication crisis, anyone?). Read more about my academic work here.
